Director of Instruction
As the Director of Instruction at the California School for the Deaf, Riverside, I am excited to share our ongoing efforts to create a bilingual, inclusive learning environment where both American Sign Language (ASL) and English are central to student success. One of my key responsibilities is to supervise all principals across various departments, ensuring alignment with CSDR’s vision of preparing Deaf students for success in college, careers, and active community life.
In collaboration with our dedicated faculty, staff, and families, I work to ensure that our academic programs not only challenge students academically but also nurture their personal growth. Our goal is to provide a learning experience that integrates innovative teaching, technology, and individualized support for every student, from early childhood education through high school. At the same time, we are committed to supporting the professional development of our educators, equipping them with the tools and strategies they need to meet the diverse needs of our students.
At CSDR, we take pride in fostering a welcoming and supportive community, where every student’s identity is celebrated, and their self-worth is nurtured. Together, we are creating a vibrant school culture that reflects the richness of Deaf culture and diversity.
I invite you to visit our campus and experience firsthand the dynamic learning environment at CSDR. We would love for you to join our community and take part in the journey of empowering our students to thrive.
