Jayne Bustamante as our Outstanding Parent of CSDR!

June 6th, 2008

Tina Jo Breindel, parent rep of CAC:

In the past, tradition of CAC was to do the Outstanding Parent Award we deliver to an outstanding parent who did something beyond their normal responsibility. The first recipient of the Outstanding Parent award was Donna Schiller who worked tirelessly to benefit the students at CSDR several years ago. When Donna passed away, the award was renamed the Donna Schiller Outstanding Parent Award, to be given each year in Donna’s memory.

Carrying on with the CAC torch, we have the pleasure of presenting Jayne Bustamante as this year’s recipient of the Donna Schiller Outstanding Parent Award for parents who contributed time in countless ways, whether small or big the tasks.

Jayne, the plaque you have in your hand says you took the time to put energy into CAC…we caught you in the act of going that extra mile. You represent a group of CAC representatives who bring CAC to life. Moreover, you saw to CAC getting its own logo. Nurturing us as the chair of Hospitality was your specialty. You made a real difference in CAC behind the scenes tending to our meeting needs.

The perpetual plaque lists past recipients will be fixed to the wall in the Superintendent’s office. Past recipients aside of Donna Schiller were Dana Baldiviez, Juliet Maucere, Zibby Bayarsky, Pam Hakker, Tina Jo Breindel, and now you, Jayne Bustamante.

Congratulations and thank you, Jayne. We see how great catches happen every day! For the rest of you, have a great catch of the summer. Come August we will be on a full swing for the year!
