Career Awareness Day

On November 11, 2008 the Workability department will host its 6th Annual Career Awareness Day from 8 am to 1:20 pm to coincide with the Veteran’s Day here at our California School for the Deaf, Riverside, (CSDR). CSDR is once again proud to recognize many past presenters/participants who have come to devote their time apart from their work routines to attend our annual Career Awareness Day.

This career fair, one of the most popular event on campus, is designed to give our students a chance to explore the many various opportunities that might be relevant to their career choices. The past presenters/participants range from an employer from Target to an engineering designer to a business owner.

The format of this activity will enable presenters to speak with students of all academic disciplines regarding employment. Students will be encouraged to be prepared to ask questions.
It will also give our students the opportunity to investigate the job market out in the real world.

Again, we are reaching out to request and invite your participation on this special day for our High School students. Our goal is to have over 16 different deaf employers throughout southern California.
