Our school website has become CSDR’s most popular communication tool. The site receives visitors from throughout the world and is our number one way to communicate what is happening on campus.
As you explore this site you will gain insight into the everyday life of CSDR students. You will find information about things such as the academic programs, support services, admission procedures, and the various community, social, sporting, academic and other school events that take place on campus. CSDR has so much to offer that we are like a little city, in fact, to borrow Reno’s line, “CSDR is the BIGGEST little city in the world!”
I am confident that as you scan this site you will see that CSDR provides the best education available for a deaf/hard-of-hearing child. Through its academic programs, skilled staff, social/leadership programs, sports, and other activities, CSDR offers the very best learning environment for a child seeking to reach his or her full potential.
CSDR uses the same California State Standards that are followed in public schools; however, at CSDR there are smaller class sizes, teachers who are specially trained in the latest deaf education techniques, and an increased focus on literacy. By attending CSDR students go on to lead successful, meaningful lives and become active, responsible members of their communities.
The school also provides students with the freedom and resources to explore their individual interests, which can lead them to a rewarding career. We have the finest technology in the classroom, career exploration courses, and counselors to help students make a seamless transition after graduation to their choice of a university, community college, vocational training school, or directly into the world of work. The possibilities for CSDR students are endless!
Please feel free to contact CSDR staff should you have questions about our programs or services. We are here to assist you in making the decisions that are right for your deaf/ hard-of-hearing child.
