Northeastern University announced on March 30th its final winners out of all participants from different states for this national wide competition. The four different contest categories include: ASL Poetry, ASL Storytelling, Deaf Art, and Letter Art (which is similar to ABC handshapes). Five different levels are assigned in each category: Under 8 years old, 9-12 years old, 13-18 years old, Special Needs, and above 19 years old(Open Competition/Community). Special thanks should go to Shari Kido, Middle School classroom teacher in Special Needs, for taking the personal initiative in bringing this opportunity to many of our students and coordinating the project!
